HIGH PERFORMANCE PROFILES

 Aluminum profiles are very strong and durable.. Illustration 1 is typical of the profiles used to manufacture casement and awning windows. Illustration 1 is a profile typically used to manufacture double and triple- paned thermo casement and awning windows Their main features:

  • made with thermal breaks to separate the interior part from the exterior
  • high energy efficiency
  • high  sound and thermal insulation performance
  •  Different inner and outer color forms
  • strong durable structure
  • Durable, wind-resistant, air tight and waterproof.​

 

  • similar to casement windows but hinged horizontally at the top
  • they are opened by tilting the window up from the bottom
  • when they are opened they look like an awning
  • as with casement windows, the sash presses against the frame  and they close very tightly
  • ​they deflect rain when opened
  • they offer excellent ventilation
  • screens are  on the inside
  • ​air conditioning units cannot be installed in these windows
  • can be installed above a door as a transom.​

LOW E ARGON  INSULATING GLASS

Glass is a critical component in the performance of of a window. Thermo glass is coated with  Low E and double and triple glass thermos are  filled with Argon gas ..These specialty  Low E Argon windows provide a marked improvement in thermal insulation and thus greater energy savings, and in acoustic insulation as well.

 Standards for  energy efficiency for windows  have been put in place to ensure that windows perform well in our climate. Energy Star certification is one such standard. Note however that they are not the only energy efficient windOws. Windows can be very energy efficient even if they do not come with this certification. In addition other factors can affect the energetic performance of your home including the number of windows in the house, the climate, the orientation of the house, the quality of the glazing and the materials used to manufacture the window. ​CASEMENT WINDOWS​

Casement windows are very popular because they are energy efficient, safe and easy to operate.  Casement windows can have one pannel or even  up to 6 panels. They are also  found in bay and bow windows ..They are equipped with double and triple thermo glass  as well as laminated glass for better sound proofing and thermal insulation.Embellishments such as grilles can often be seen in these types of windows. They offer a great deal of versatility with regards to styling. The screen for this window is inside.
